On Saturday, October 23rd at 6pm Beirut time, join Aly Sleem, the Executive Director of the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (LADE). This webinar will focus on a variety of issues facing the diaspora, and will discuss voting rights in the upcoming 2022 elections.

About Aly Sleem:

Aly holds the position of Executive Director of LADE and holds a master's degree in political science and international relations from the University of Balamand in Lebanon.
Aly is a social activist and his work revolves around the following matters:
1- Spreading the culture of the electoral law and the loopholes it faces, in addition to his work in advocating for electoral reforms.
2 - Advocating against discriminatory laws that constitute an obstacle to women's effective political participation.
3- Spreading a culture of human rights and working to combat discrimination against marginalized groups.
Aly is concerned with matters related to human rights, and attaches importance and a legal dimension to matters when addressing them. For him, the association provided him with the opportunity to develop himself professionally, and the principles of the association contributed to enriching his ideas and principles from a legal, not political, perspective.
Aly also considers that LADE is a positive and effective platform for building and developing social relationships between employees.
