Sawti Ambassador (Volunteer)
Role Description
Ambassador Functions:
Sawti is seeking energetic and motivated individuals who are passionate about changing Lebanon and want to encourage political engagement amongst their peers. Amidst the ongoing civil organization and pivotal political changes in Lebanon, Sawti is working on mobilizing Lebanese locally and internationally to collaborate, discuss, and engage in the political sphere.
Sawti is a grassroots organization that intends to 1) provide a platform that guides and informs citizens on their civic rights & responsibilities 2) be a stage for alternative parties to communicate and debate their political programs and objectives 3) empower Lebanese globally to participate in politics by providing them with factual information to base their decisions on.
Sawti Ambassadors will be responsible for engaging with various individuals within their local community to build a network of politically engaged and informed groups.
You will:
Be a catalyst for change and awareness within your local Lebanese community.
Coordinate with fellow Sawti Ambassadors to develop and deliver community events, workshops, and engagements.
Motivate and inform your community members on their civic duty and right to engage in politics.
Inform and guide your community members through the registration process and how to vote.
Share with the community educational material from the provided Ambassador Toolkit about the various alternative political party platforms. The Ambassador will always provide unabridged and verifiable information.
Encourage and promote transparency, accountability, and fairness in the political processes.
Disseminate surveys, questionnaires, and polls to create statistical polls and data.
Document citizen concerns and issues raised by communities, by channeling them back to Sawti, to provide a feedback mechanism from citizens to alt-parties.
Receive training and resources on grassroots organizing, political campaigning, voter mobilization, and engagement.
You possess:
An ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, especially through public speaking.
Interpersonal skills – i.e. you are friendly, approachable and enjoy interacting with people from a wide range of backgrounds, beliefs and cultures.
A desire to build connections between different members in your local, educational or professional community.
An enthusiastic attitude.
A belief in citizen suffrage and their right in deciding the politics of their country.
A Willingness to work as part of a small, collaborative, and horizontal team.

Discrimination & Misconduct
Our national unity is the responsibility of each one of us, and in doing so, neither Sawti nor Sawti ambassadors will discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, or sexual orientation, in any of its activities or operations. If a Sawti ambassador fails to uphold these values or report on any misconduct, they will be subject to removal from their position immediately.
Conflict of Interest
Sawti ambassadors must remain cognizant of Sawti’s Fundamental Principles, and in particular, those of integrity, neutrality, and impartiality. All members will refrain from undertaking any actions that are in conflict with and undermine the interests of Sawti’s mission and the Lebanese people.
